April 2015 books

This was definitely a reading month! Not only was there a lovely vacation late in the month, but also a bonus day off for Good Friday. Which meant I got a chance to read a number of books in April, including a bit of "mind-candy".
It started with steampunk, Gail Carriger style, as I delved into her other two Victorian era series. From there the reading list just progressed to other books without rhyme or reason, other than piquing my interest.
  • Prudence by Gail Carriger (the perfect continuation of the Soulless series!)
  • The Finishing School series by Gail Carriger
    • Etiquette & Espionage
    • Curtsies & Conspiracies
  • Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen (my February purchase) - a fabulously magical book, as expected. SAA always delivers deliciously twisted Southern families with a redeeming character coupled with a touch of magic.
  • Rum:The Epic Story of the Drink that Conquered the World by Charles Coulombe - which I highly recommend as a vacation read. (Just skip the first chapter - all the others are interesting.) As a bonus, it also includes various rum-based recipes.
Take-away - Enjoy the time you have.

April Extra - Love this list of books in Marilyn Monroe's library!

Posts also of potential interest...
