November 2014 Books

This month started with a plane trip, so I finished The Story Sisters by Alice Hoffman on that plane.

Next up - a guilty pleasure read to help recoup from the prior month's stresses: Undead and Unwary by MaryJanice Davidson.

Best quote of the book: "Please not with the 'I as a parent now understand all the mysteries of the universe, which you, poor babyless imbecile, will never, ever be able to grasp with your babyless mind and which is why your poor babyless existence is forever doomed to be unfulfilling, you poor idiot'." (page 81)

And as I've been moving books from place to place - I rediscovered Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series. Soulless made good Sunday reading.

Other post of potential interest:

To read a bit more about the books (including what I didn't say), have a look at "On The Shelf."
